Springtime Tree Planting
While we have a dry moment this spring we are planting around 4000 trees in the fields. After growing cover crops last year to replenish the soil, These fields have been plowed and then The tractor dug furrows and now the field crews are planting them out.
We’re sharing a gallery of our teamwork in action.
We begin our tree planting journey with truckloads and truckloads of bare root trees. Then we move these bulk bare root trees to a flat bed trailer to get them out into the field. Our team then moves them to a tractor with a perch for two associates to stand on the back and drop evenly spaced trees into the furrow that the tractor creates. Our associates then follow behind the tractor to help pack the furrowed soil in and around the roots of the trees.
Laying the groundwork for years of fantastic healthy trees!
