Delivery and Planting Guide

How to get your plants home:

Take them today – Bring your trailer, truck or large vehicle so you can bring plants home immediately. We have staff to load your vehicle and cover(“tarp”) your plants at no additional charge. All plant material must leave the nursery tarped.

Have them delivered – 2-4 Days – We deliver within a 20 mile radius of each respective store for $99 per truckload usually within 2-4 days.

Have them planted – 3-4 Weeks – If you order plants “with planting”, there is a $99 delivery per truckload plus each plant’s planting price. Usually 3-4 weeks after we receive the required planting checklist below.

Have large plants planted– 3-4 Weeks – If you order large plants (designated with an * asterisk), they require equipment to plant. Getting equipment to the site with the delivery is a $219.00 delivery with equipment. Orders with large and standard delivery items only require one $219 delivery charge. All deciduous trees larger than 2.5″, evergreens over 7′, and clumps over 8′ require equipment and must be planted by Siebenthaler’s due to the weight of the root ball for the warranty to be valid.

I understand that The Siebenthaler Company will call Ohio Utilities Protection Services to have major utilities marked if needed. There are some underground wires, lines and hazards (items marked with ** below) that are not marked by this service. The Siebenthaler company will take precautions to prevent any damages, but is not responsible for the repairs. The customer will be billed at cost for the repairs, including concrete and blacktop.

Unplanned additional work *

I understand that planting includes compost and mulch for the immediate planting area, removal of naturally smaller plants than your new plants (not mature plants trimmed to small shape). Standard planting price does not include removals of larger plants or stumps, on-site design advice, tilling, or mulching beyond the immediate planting area. Additional work can be estimated at standard rates ahead of time. Any unplanned additional work requested of the crew while on site will either be billed at 1.5x our current labor rate, or delayed to a later date and subject to a new trip charge.

Communication schedule *

I understand that the planting will occur 2-4 weeks after the order is finalized. Schedulers will call or email the week before planting and I will set my provided planting flags out at that time. I will also receive a call the night before planting.

Water access *

I verify that there is an adequate water source to water in the new planting and water the new plantings throughout the next growing season and beyond.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT WAIVER *

A mature tree loaded on the equipment can weigh 28,000 pounds. The Siebenthaler Company will take all reasonable precautions to prevent any serious damage and ruts. There must be clear access to the property (no fences, rough terrain, sharp turns or existing plantings); curbs driveways and walks must be able to support the weight. The Siebenthaler Company is not responsible for these damages.

Boarding Charge *

Boarding Charge for 3" caliper trees and larger: The Siebenthaler Company will create a path of plywood to preserve prevent damages at no cost for the first 50 feet. There is an additional charge of $1 per linear foot past 50 ft. The Siebenthaler Company is not responsible for ruts in the yard if boarding is not used.
