Description
Clump forming large shrub or small tree. Excellent for naturalizing. Foliage is dark green with no appreciable fall color. Leaves emerge very early and drop early. Red flowers in panicles and nuts are small and smooth. Leaf problems are not critical. Seeds and young shoots are poisonous to humans if eaten. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
