Description
False Indigo is a North American shrub, growing wild throughout the lower 48 states. Makes a good highway shrub due to its high tolerance of salt. False Indigo flowers are small, purple to dark blue with yellow stamens appearing from April to June. Grows in loose, airy thickets commonly along streams. Fast grower. Often planted as an ornamental. Attracts bees.
